Welcome to step 3 of Build a Solid Base for your Nonprofit! In this step, you will outline your strategic directions. Do this with everyone who is interested to help with setting up your nonprofit. Make sure everyone has a notebook and a copy of the worksheet that you can download on this page.
Watch the video and move to the worksheet to answer the questions there. Do this as a group, or for yourself, individually, first, as outlined in the worksheet.
Have you formulated your strategic directions for the next two to three years? Have you looked at some examples for inspiration? Have you interviewed ten to fifteen people from your target group and validated your ideas with them? Have you identified milestones and developed a work plan? Did you include there, the tasks you identified in the readiness assessment?
Then it is time for you to celebrate, my friend! You have now built a solid base for your nonprofit! You know what needs to be done to register your organization. You know why it is so important this organization will exist. You know what the impact is you strive for. You know how you will work toward that. You have clarity on your strategic framework for the coming two or three years. You know what must be done tomorrow. You are so ready to get going! But first, you must celebrate with everyone who helped you get here!
